What products do you sell?

We specialise in Silver Britannia coins issued by The Royal Mint. These are UK legal tender bullion coins containing one troy ounce of fine silver. Some years or designs may also have collectible interest.

Are your coins genuine?

Yes. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all coins sold by Semple&Co are guaranteed to be genuine. Each coin is inspected prior to sale to verify authenticity and condition.

Are Silver Britannias bullion or collectible coins?

Silver Britannias are primarily classed as bullion coins and are priced based on their silver content. Certain years, designs or packaging may have additional collectible appeal, but Semple&Co does not guarantee future collectible value.

Can I cancel my order?

Cancellation rights depend on the type of product purchased.

Bullion products, including Silver Britannias, are exempt from cancellation under UK law due to precious metal price fluctuations. Once payment is accepted, bullion orders cannot be cancelled.

Non-bullion or collectible products may be eligible for cancellation within 14 days in accordance with our Returns Policy.

Do you accept returns?

Returns are accepted in line with our Returns and Cancellation Policy.

Bullion products cannot be returned due to changes of mind, but faulty or misdescribed items remain covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

What condition are used Silver Britannias in?

Used Silver Britannias may show signs of prior handling, storage or circulation. This can include light marks, surface contact marks, toning or natural colour changes.

Condition does not affect silver content or authenticity.

What is toning?

Toning is a natural process where silver reacts with air and environmental elements over time, causing colour changes. It is common on silver coins and is not a defect.

Toning does not affect silver purity or weight and is often considered normal for bullion coins.

How are orders shipped?

All orders are dispatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery or an equivalent insured and tracked service unless stated otherwise at checkout.

Orders are typically dispatched within 2 working days of cleared payment.

Is my delivery insured?

Yes. Orders are sent using insured delivery services where possible. Delivery details and insurance are subject to courier terms and conditions.

Do you ship internationally?

At present, Semple&Co ships within the United Kingdom only.

How do I know the price is fair?

Bullion prices are based on live precious metal markets and reflect current silver spot prices, availability and operating costs. Prices are fixed once payment is accepted.

Do you offer buy-back services?

Semple&Co may offer to purchase coins from customers subject to inspection and verification. Buy-back pricing is based on market conditions at the time of assessment.
