These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Semple&Co website and the purchase of goods from us. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

2.    Use of Website
By using this website you confirm that:
• You are at least 18 years old
• You will provide accurate and complete information when placing orders
• You will not use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes
• You will not attempt to disrupt website security or functionality
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access where misuse is suspected.

3.    Website Ownership and Intellectual Property
This website and all content within it is owned and operated by Semple&Co.
All materials including text, product descriptions, images, logos, graphics, layout and design are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
Content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission from Semple&Co.

4.    Products
Semple&Co buys and sells silver coins including:
• Bullion coins
• Collectible / numismatic coins
• Pre-owned coins
All products are described as accurately as possible using professional judgement and available information.
Images are provided for illustration purposes. Actual items may vary slightly due to mint variations, toning, wear or age.
Graded or collectible coins are sold based on third-party grading opinions where applicable. Grading is subjective and may vary between grading bodies or collectors.

5.    Pricing
All prices are shown in GBP (£).
Prices:
• Include VAT where applicable
• Exclude delivery charges (displayed at checkout)
Precious metal prices fluctuate continuously based on global markets.
Prices are only fixed once payment has been received and accepted.
Semple&Co reserves the right to cancel orders where pricing or listing errors occur. In such cases, customers will receive a full refund.

6.    Orders and Contract Formation
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase goods.
An order confirmation email confirms receipt of your order but does not constitute acceptance.
A legally binding contract is formed only when goods are dispatched.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where:
• Payment is not received
• Fraud or illegal activity is suspected
• Pricing or stock errors occur
• Shipping or supply becomes unavailable
If an order is cancelled after payment, a full refund will be issued.

7.    Payment
Accepted payment methods may include:
• Debit card
• Credit card
• Approved online payment providers
• Bank transfer (if offered)
Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched.

8.    Ownership and Risk
Ownership of goods transfers once full payment has been received and goods have been dispatched.
Risk passes to the customer when goods are delivered into the physical possession of the customer or their nominated recipient.

9.    Delivery
Semple&Co delivers only within the United Kingdom unless otherwise agreed.
Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
Orders are dispatched using tracked and insured postal or courier services where possible.
Customers must ensure delivery details are accurate.
Customers must report missing or damaged deliveries within 5 working days of the expected delivery date.

10.    Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers may cancel most (see section 11) purchases within 14 days of receiving goods.
To cancel an eligible order, customers must contact:

Goods must be returned within 14 days of cancellation notice.
Customers are responsible for return postage unless goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving returned goods.

11.    Exception for Precious Metal Bullion
Under Regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, cancellation rights do not apply to goods whose price depends on fluctuations in the financial market which cannot be controlled by the trader.
This includes bullion coins and investment precious metal products.
Orders for bullion products therefore cannot be cancelled once payment has been accepted.

12.    Returns and Condition
Returned items must:
• Be in original condition
• Not be damaged, altered or cleaned
• Include original packaging where reasonably possible
Refunds may be reduced if returned goods show signs of misuse, handling beyond inspection, or damage.

13.    Faulty or Misdescribed Goods
Customers have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If goods are faulty or significantly not as described, customers may request:
• Repair
• Replacement (if available)
• Refund
Customers must notify Semple&Co as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.

14.    Authenticity Guarantee
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Semple&Co guarantees that all coins sold are genuine and authentic to the best of their knowledge.

15.    Buy-Back and Purchasing Service
Semple&Co may offer to purchase coins from customers subject to inspection and verification.
Quotes provided are estimates and may change following physical inspection and authenticity verification.
Semple&Co reserves the right to refuse purchases at its discretion.
Customers sending items to Semple&Co are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance during transit.

16.    Precious Metal and Investment Disclaimer
Precious metal and collectible coin values fluctuate based on global market conditions.
Semple&Co does not provide financial, investment or tax advice.
Customers are responsible for their own purchasing and investment decisions.
Past performance or historical pricing does not guarantee future value.

17.    Liability
Semple&Co shall not be liable for:
• Changes in precious metal market values
• Indirect or consequential financial losses
• Investment losses
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
• Death or personal injury caused by negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Statutory consumer rights

18.    Privacy and Data Protection
Semple&Co processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.

19.    Events Outside Our Control (Force Majeure)
Semple&Co shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing obligations due to events beyond reasonable control including but not limited to:

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
